They updated the Everyday Math ConnectEd Planner and adjusted the pacing calendar for the remainder of the school year.

The 6th grade language arts/social sciences teachers met to order supplies for next year and to work toward the coming ELA textbook adoption. We also ordered additional copies of Charlotte Doyle.
Special Education: Resource discussed next year/caseload/numbers. In looking ahead it seems that Mariana would have 7 or 8 kids with 4 or 5 aides. Her room would run as a more modified program from 8-12pm . Lauren would have 23 students k-6 and be more available to collaborate and co teach (perhaps) with gen ed teachers. Lauren will also take the incoming Kinder Pm-er. Mariana will most likely stick to her 9:15/11:30 recess and lunches and Lauren will stick to the 9:55/12:05. Lauren is also looking at services being 4 days a week and having a day for testing and IEPS only so that IEP’s are not random throughout the week… still in consideration at this point. #28 more days
OT performed a preschool assessment with the PS team, discussed upcoming treatment plans, and worked on upcoming reports. We also collaborated with Odessa.
ELD: ELD teachers and paraprofessionals from all three sites met to discuss the ELD iPad Program and ways to increase efficiency of iPad check out/check in and troubleshooting. The team also discussed curriculum purchases for 2017-2018, Fountas and Pinnell testing, and strategies to gauge and increase parent satisfaction with the ELD program - such as a wider LCAP Parent Survey, a final trimester newsletter, and attendance at Open House and Back to School Night. Finally, the team discussed ELD testing in 2017-2018.
